Hero

The Hero block opens a page: an eyebrow, a headline, a supporting line, up to two buttons, and a row of short facts. It is a WordPress hero block with no builder behind it — the output is server-rendered HTML.

In the editor

Eyebrow, headline, lead and the fact chips are edited directly on the canvas. The sidebar holds:

  • Headline size — Standard, or Large display for a page’s main hero.
  • Primary and secondary button links — external links open in a new tab automatically.
  • Reassurance row — one short fact per line; they render as chips under the buttons.
  • Alternate background, an anchor id, and a section label.

Worth knowing

  • A hero whose headline is the page’s only <h1> suppresses the automatic page title — one page, one h1, handled for you.
  • Accent a word with the wpr-em style to get the highlight treatment you see across this site.
  • Leave a button label empty and the button disappears; no dead buttons.
