License
The WPR Multipurpose Theme is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later — the same license as WordPress itself. This page says what that means in practice, in plain words. The full legal text is short as these things go.
What you can do
- Use it on any number of sites — yours, your clients’, commercial or not. There is no per-site anything.
- Modify it however you like: child theme, direct edits, a full fork.
- Rebrand it. Agencies may ship it under their own name; the GPL explicitly permits this, and the updater is designed to be repointed by forks.
- Redistribute it, changed or unchanged, free or paid. The license travels with it.
- Keep it forever. Nothing expires, phones home for permission, or stops working.
What the license asks of you
One thing: anything you build from the theme and distribute stays GPL. Sites you build with it are yours entirely — the license covers the theme’s code, not your content or your client work.
What does not exist
- No license key, activation step, or account.
- No free-versus-pro split. This is the whole product.
- No paid updates — updates arrive automatically and free, always.
Third-party pieces
The icon set is the theme’s own inline SVG, covered by the same GPL. Google Fonts are fetched from Google’s service when you choose one; the font files themselves are under their designers’ open licenses, not this theme’s.
Questions a lawyer would want answered precisely deserve the actual license text rather than this summary. For everything else, ask us.
